This is a guide "how to" wheels off cleansing, inside out (its only a guide and my opinion only, still open to improvements too)
You will need:
APC (all purpose cleaner)
Iron out / Dedicated wheel cleaner
Water
Clay
Clay lubricant / Soapy water / Quick detailer
Wheel brushes (may or may not need)
Dedicated wheel wash mitt (Never use the paint wash mitt for wheels)
Dedicated wheel drying towel (Again never use the paint drying towel for wheels)
Tar remover
Step 1: Prepare a dedicated wheels only bucket with clean water and APC of your choice (All purpose cleaner of your choice)
Step 2: Prepare you various cleaning brushes for the tyres and some maybe for the rims
Step 3: Spray some water on the wheels to saturate some loose dirt and the get the products you're about to use "stick" to lift out the dirt
Step 4: Spray your APC or wheel cleaner and let it dwell for 5 min depending on your climate and environment, do not let it dry out
Step 5: Start scrubbing the wheels off gently with your medium bristled brush, then after work through the wheel with the wheel mitt
Step 6: Now rinse off the APC with clean water
Step 7: Now spray the iron out of choice and work it with the brush if necessary, let it dwell for +- 10 min, then rinse off thoroughly
Step 8: Then spray tar remover and let dwell for +- 10 min, now rinse off
Step 9: Then clay the wheels using clay bar and lubricant, then give it a final rinse
Step 10: Time to dry them and protect with a sealant/wax/coating of choice or dedicated protection.
Again these are only a guide, some steps can be omitted or added as per dirt, type of dirt and the amount of dirt on the wheel, or even the use of the vehicle.
Hope it helps
